Hints on Searches

This and ALL web based text search engines (Alta Vista, Yahoo, Excite...) allows queries to be formed from arbitrary Boolean expressions containing the keywords AND, OR, and NOT. 

NPI Examples:

Want to find personal insurance members only?

"personal insurance not commercial not auto not home not group"

Want to find personal insurance member in the Yuba/Sutter Chapter?

 

"personal insurance and Sutter County"

additional examples:

gift baskets

finds documents containing 'gift' or 'baskets'

gift or baskets

same as above

gift and baskets

finds documents containing both 'gift' and 'baskets'

gift not baskets

finds documents containing 'gift' but not 'baskets'

ins*

finds all documents containing words starting with 'ins' i.e.: insurance (this is a wildcard and can be used in any combination)
