The concept of
networking within a structured environment emerged during the 1970’s
as a response to our urban lifestyles. Because businesses tended to
become less community oriented, helping each other had to be
re-invented.
In a
collaborative effort, Network Professionals Inc.® was founded in
February, 1991, by Christine Peterson, Dan Doody, and Eve
Peterson, to improve upon the actual practice of how networking
should best be conducted. NPI has evolved its own approach to
exchanging qualified referrals among members by the use of
specially designed techniques. These techniques derive in part
from a creative synthesis of its Founders and integrates the power
of group dynamics, personal development, financial acumen, and a
disciplined focus on how to assist businesses in achieving their
marketing goals.
From its
founding, Network Professionals Inc. has grown to thousands of
members throughout the United States and Canada, including major
cities such as Akron, Cincinnati, Clearwater, Cleveland, Columbus,
Dayton, Minneapolis, Pittsburgh, Sacramento, St. Paul, Clearwater,
Tampa, and Toronto, Canada.
Local NPI Representatives
bring expertise for organizing new Chapters, support existing
members, and contribute innovative networking ideas that improve
upon the NPI model and enhance member results.
